I've always wondered a little about the Mori's bloodline. The implication is that the Morinozuka family is something like a vassal to the Haninozukas, but nevertheless it's prestigious enough to be in the A class at Ouran. And kendo /is/ generally considered classier than karate and judo. (although obviously those are just secondary martial arts to Honey, since his family practices its own style)
