wow, I am so glad you like this! In retrospect this is one of the few fics of mine that I still enjoy rereading, which is surprising, since I find Isumi rather annoying as well - although I've mellowed towards him lately. He has a more adultish mind, which makes him less interesting to play with than Akira and Hikaru - but perhaps, slightly easier to write?
