This is really breathtaking, especially towards the end, when you really get into Dino's head. I could basically quote the final three paragraphs to make my point, but that would be a little redundant. XD
My onlyonlyonly criticism is that a not infrequent happening is supremely awkward, and would make more sense written not an infrequent happening.
