It seems to me that Dino might hold the some of the same qualities that Yamamoto does; he certainly seems to have the same kind of layers. That quality of being able to switch from light-hearted and vaguely goofy to diamond-hard focus seems like something that Hibari doesn't grok so much. Hence the fascination.
